It's been a while.....

 

So after the pool opened in July [2013] I took a break from the updates. Alright, I got lazy and just enjoyed the pool and forgot about you guys! Sorry!

We were able to get everything done by the time the pool opened except the stuff in the pool bar. So in the next couple of pages I will go over the pool bar build along with some fun pictures of us actually enjoying this mind numbing project!

The number one questions I always get is "Did you design this?!". I always say Branch from Pebble Pools was the designer. Usually Branch is at the party (he knows how to have fun) and Branch's response is "Brian and I designed this together". He is truly a humble guy! But then we both explain that this wasn't designed over night. We had countless meetings and the plans changed dozens of times. The final project is what everyone see's, but it didn't start out like this at all. It was much smaller and in a very different position then it ended up in. It also ended up about three feet lower then it was originally planned. All in all it worked out fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the final outcome. There are only two minor changes I would add to the grotto. There isn't much water movement in there so I would have added jets in the seats. This would give you a little more circulation and it would feel nice when you're in there. I would have also added a light in the ceiling of the grotto. I put a waterproof motion activated light in there now and they seems to be working well. With a project this size if those are the only two things I would change, I didn't do half bad!
