Day 2: Digging!
The three guys working on the job are Tommy, Mark, and Steve. Three fantastic guys that really knew their stuff. I can not begin to explain how easy it was to communicate with these guys. They had a ton of great input and even suggested a few changes that worked out great! I can't imagine trying to go through this process with someone who did not speak English. These three guys were great!

| The guys started their day and you could hear the diesel engines screaming.......but not for long. Remember the top layer of soil was beautiful, well unfortunately we can't say the same for the next couple of layers. The dirt was full of rocks and boulders and eventually they took the tracks right off of the bulldozer! Took these poor guys over a half of day to get the track back on the bulldozer and continue digging. Fortunately enough after they got past the first few layers, the dirt turned into a softer sand and they were able to cut right through it. |

| The hole is getting deeper and so is the cost! I spoke with Branch today about adding on a couple of fire bowl waterfalls. They are beautiful, but you pay for that beauty! |
| You don't know it yet, but you are sitting at the pool bar in the above shot. |
| At this point my head is still out of water and we are in the deep end. Mark still has some digging to do! |
| As I said earlier, Floyd was not going to like this at all! Floyd is our 11 year old English Bulldog. In case you are not familiar with Bulldogs, they sink! So this is the only chance Floyd will be able to step foot into the pool. |
| Floyd shakes it off as his bathroom gets turned upside down. He is not at all impressed. |
And here we are after day two. The bulldozer is fixed and the hole got a little deeper. Still digging though!
