Day 12 & 13: Finishing Rebar

Day 12 & 13: Finishing Rebar

All the digging and rebar is done! You can see everything is shaped and ready to get gunited.

You can see the bar stools are made out of rebar and are ready for gunite.
You can see the backside of the bar in this shot. After the gunite is in, there will be a wall separating the bar and the pool.
Straight ahead is the grotto and to the right of that is the shelf to hold the "non-diving" boulders.
Grotto
This picture is taken standing directly behind the grotto. The roof of the grotto will be gunited and there will be boulders and a waterfall placed on top of it to look as natural as possible.
Finally I get to go in the grotto. Not much privacy yet though!

There is Floyd again, watching as his back yard get destroyed!
You can see the one 250 watt color changing LED light that will be mounted in the grotto.
That is one of the three lights that will be in the pool along with one of the skimmers. The three lights in the pool will be 500 watt color changing LED lights. Everything will be controlled by a Jandy controller. With a Jandy iAqualink add-on you can control your entire pool system through a website or any smart phone.
That's a lot of steel!

And we are done with the digging and rebar! Next week comes the gunite which REALLY brings the pool together. Everything up until this point has been great. Pebble Pools has been a great company to deal with and I have complete faith in them.
